About Texas Sundown
Texas Sundown is based out of the Cypress, Texas area. Texas Sundown plays a variety of Texas Country, 90's Country, and some Top 40 Country. A stylistically unique Country Band from day one, the members of Texas Sundown have been been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers; performing at a variety of venues, making friends with other musicians in the business. Greg has played with multiple country cover bands all over Southeast Texas. He has even played in Nashville at popular venues such as Tootsie's and Legend's Corner. Greg adds that traditional touch to Texas Sundown but, with a touch of high energy on stage.
A band wouldn't be complete without its Lead Guitarist. Colt has played all over Texas. Colt also plays Banjo and Fiddle when not picking on the Telecaster. Come out and see what he can do on stage!
Originally a lead guitar player, Andy seized the opportunity to co-own Texas Sundown Band as the bass player. He has played bass guitar for rock bands all around Houston. Andy's country musical influences include Josh Ward, Jon Wolfe, and George Strait.
Kyle has been around music his entire life. He started learning drums at the young age of 8 years old. Kyle moved to Nashville and played drums at popular venues such as Tootsie's, Honky Tonk Central, and Wildhorse Saloon. He moved back to Texas where him and a few of his close friends created
Jayson picked up a guitar at the age 15 and has been in bands ever since. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Jayson can be found on the Texas Sundown stage hopping between instruments, singing the high notes, and wishing he looked better in hats.
Kenny is the sound/light engineer and band manager. Kenny has been a production manager for The Legends Band for 15+ years. He even ran sound for multiple Texas Country artists during his tenure. He studied sound engineering in high school and at Sam Houston State University.
